Projects
Following are some projects I have worked on in the past year.
NYC Arrest Demographics
Using a dataset of 3.2M rows, I created an interactive map of NYC showcasing general details regarding
every arrest in a three year period.
Python - Pandas, Ipywidgets, Plotly and IPython
Periodic Table Database
This project is a database of every periodic element's mass number, atomic number and symbols. A user
can can use if they want to input a the element name or symbol, and according to that receive all other
information regarding the element.

USA Gun Violence
Using a dataset of 2M rows, I created an interactive map of USA showcasing general details
regarding any gun violence incident in a three year period.

Hangman Game
A simple guessing game where players can choose different difficulty levels. The aim is to
guess a word that the other player has thought of, by suggesting letters that the word may contain.
The amount of guesses is limited.
MATLAB
Simple Bank Account
A simple virtual template that allows a person to make an account and transfer, deposit
and/or withdraw money.
C++
Login/Register Pages
Aesthetically designed webpages that lead a user from the homepage to a log-in/registration page.
A user can then create an account and then log-in to page (choosing whether they are an employee or manager),
or log-in into an existing account. These were linked to a MySQL server and appropriate routes and sessions were
implemented where required.
Front-End: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Back-End: Node.js, AJAX, MySQL
About Me
Hi! I'm Meenal Saxena, a 2nd year university student studying Bachelor of Computer Science (Advanced) at the University of Adelaide.
I have been passionate about technology from a young age after I observed how heavily impacted
our normal day-to-day lives are due to continuous advancements, from always keeping up to date
with upcoming technologies to reading biographies of popular entrepreneurs, such as Elon Musk.
A defining moment for me as a young high school student was seeing Musk give a guest lecture in
Adelaide. Seeing him perform a speech regarding his Mars settlement plans allowed me to realise
just how significant technology is and how much I would like to be a part of this continuously
developing field.
My aim is to own a successful start-up so that I too can assist people
and create an impact in the upcoming technology industry, by contributing to my society in an
area I am most passionate about.
